In this video, you’ll learn fast and easy ways to add blog content to any type of Mailchimp campaign. This allows you to create engaging email campaigns with your blog content. 🚀
The first and easiest way to add your blog content to a Mailchimp campaign is to use an App called “Link Preview.” Enter the blog post’s URL, and Link Preview does the rest. Another option is to use the RSS Feed Merge tags.
To get started, click create a Campaign and give it an internal name. In my example, I used “blog content demo.” Then click create email.
From here, click on the design email button. Next, select a template for your email campaign.
There’s an App for That
Using the new email builder, select the App Block. The App to use is called App Preview. You’ll need to give a one-time permission to use it.
After the app connects to your account, simply add a URL to your blog post, and the app will auto-generate the featured image, excerpt, title, and URL. If you want to add more blog posts to your campaign email, just duplicate the App block and change the URL.
There are 2 additional ways to add your blog content.
Both involve using RSS Merge tags and, because of that, are much more complicated to set up.
RSS Feed Merge Tag
The first way is to use the RSS FEED Merge Tag, which allows some basic formatting but will grab the latest five blog posts from your website.
Getting Started
Drag over a paragraph block. From the top navigation, click on merge tags. Scroll down to the bottom and click on RSS feed items. Again, using the new Mailchimp builder will work the same as the old legacy mail builder email builder. Now, it will pre-populate with an example URL for your feed. You’ll have to determine what that RSS Feed URL is for your type of platform, whether you’re on Wix, Weebly, or WordPress.

FEEDBLOCK RSS Merge Tag
The second way is to use FEEDBLOCK RSS Merge Tag, which allows more customization but involves using more FEEDBLOCK RSS Merge tags to pull in your blog posts. You have to go to a special resource page because it’s unavailable in any dropdown or option within the email builder.
