Security Marketing Solutions is no longer offering WordPress Website Design as a service. I’ve decided to move to WordPress training.
During the mid to late 1990s was when I first got introduced to the World Wide Web and how websites were built. At the time, websites were built very simplistically with tables and paragraphs and maybe an image or two. It was exciting for me to learn about HTML and to bring a blank canvas (web page) to life. In 2000, after moving to New York, I attended Pace University’s certificate program in Internet Technology and eCommerce. There was so much to learn about the different programming languages.
Through the months and years since then, working for public and private companies/agencies, and having my own web
In December 2010, I decided to test out this WordPress thing. All very foreign to me as I was used to coding by hand and using Adobe’s Dreamweaver. It was so easy to create a WordPress website. What would take me hours and hours, WordPress was instantly created. Simply i
It got very easy for me to help clients create a WordPress website. Over the last 8 years I’ve created over 30 websites. Some are long gone, some changed, and some still exist. Currently, I maintain about 15 WordPress websites for various clients.

Pivoting from a Service to a Product
My love for creating websites has waned. The excitement I once had is no longer there. The task has become rather mundane. With the proliferation of WordPress and how easy it is to create a WordPress website, literally, anyone can create one, coupled with the fact that WordPress powers 30% of the web most are creating their own WordPress websites. I still love WordPress and will continue to work with it, just not building websites. Instead, I will offer WordPress training. Turning a service into a product.
What interests me and where I see a need is although WordPress is easy to install and maintain, there are several complexities to WordPress that often go overlooked without the proper training.
The plan is to have online WordPress training available in the near future. The training will cover many of the topics that are needed like, security, efficiency, speed, Gutenberg editor, SSL as well as the basics, such as how to build a website securely, and finding the right plugins.
