Facebook adds Text Validation Tool to Boost Post Options

Facebook has a thing with 20% text. It used to be your Facebook page cover image could not have more than 20% of text.  Fortunately they removed that restriction 2 years ago.
When Boost a post on your Facebook page was became available, it came with the grid checking tool for your images. By uploading your image and clicking in the boxes of where you text appeared, verified you were not using more than 20% of text in your image.  There have been other businesses that offered off- Facebook grid tools as well.
When you Boost a post you are paying for a larger targeted audience – aka an ad.  Also it prevents a spam image post with “Click here to get rich, you’ll make a million bucks.”  So I completely understand the reasoning behind it. But it was always an extra step – upload your image, click the boxes, yes/no good to go. But that has changed.

Now it is right inside the boost post options. A warning will appear only if Facebook notices a lot of text on the image.  This is a most welcomed improvement to this process.

Now, Facebook is checking the image for you right up front.
