My Top Seven WordPress Plugins

One of the best features of WordPress is the opportunity to customize it with WordPress plugins.  Here are just a few of my favorite plugins.
WordPress SEO by Yoast
One of the best SEO plugins for WordPress.  It literally takes the guess work out of optimizing your posts and pages for search engine results.  Also adds a nice social component if you wish to share a different image on social networks then the featured image on the blog post.
TinyMCE Advanced
I had no idea this little gem existed until last year.  Found out about it and how to set it up through +MaAnna Stephenson of Blogaid. This plugin literally expands the standard MCE WordPress page/post editor to include other features like font family and sizes. View the video tutorial.
Pretty Link Lite
Easy tool for link redirection, simple analytics (hits, dates, and referrers). There are so many redirection tools but I like this plugin for tracking link traffic from other sites.  For example I set one up one a zip file download on a WordPress video.
Backup Buddy
A trusted, feature rich, complete back up system of your entire folders and database tables.  Offers backup storage to Amazon S3. This is a premium plugin. It will run you $80/yr or more.
Blubrry PowerPress
Hands down the only plugin I recommend for for podcasting setup on your WordPress website.
W3TC Total Cache
Caches your pages and great options including the ability to connect to a CDN (Content Delivery Network).  Not for the beginner but well worth the effort to learn especially if your website has bunches of content and images.
