A few months ago I put together a short tutorial on how to add a Welcome page to your Facebook fan page. The tutorial centered around adding a small image to the Wildfire iframes app. I have received quite a few comments on my Facebook fan page and from YouTube on how to add a dynamic HTML Welcome page instead of a static image.
In this tutorial I show how super easy it is to set up an HTML Welcome page. I used Dreamweaver CS5.5 basic page template (1 column, centered). Now I didn’t go all fancy, I kept it simple with straight HTML and CSS.
On the Facebook side I decided to use Static Iframe apps (Star Icon) which you can find doing a search in Facebook. In the previous Welcome page tutorial I used Wildfire’s iframe apps but it was very restricting – couldn’t use external CSS or JavaScript. With the Static Iframe app you can literally copy and paste the HTML code from a web page into the app to make it your welcome page.
Here is the tutorial, please post questions or comments below.
Just getting started with the social media stuff (I know, kinda late). But we have a startup software company and it’s time we got going with it. Your video was very helpful… straightforward and not too techie. I’m going to get to work and build my HTML page right now!
Hi Jeff. Thanks for the comments. Better late than never! If you need any help let me know. Checked out your website – looks great! Best of luck!

@ankit97 Hi Ankit – Do a search in Facebook for Static HTML and you should be able to find it in the results. For a direct search link try this http://bit.ly/QSlSIC
