Setting the Strategy in Motion

1. Create a landing page: Use Mailchimp’s “Create” button to build a landing page titled something intriguing, such as “Don’t ghost us just yet.” Personalize the page with your brand’s logo, catchy headline, and an enticing incentive for staying subscribed, such as a 30% discount.

2. Set up a tag in Mailchimp: Assign a tag, such as “resubscribe coupon,” to individuals who opt to stay subscribed.

3. Redirect subscribers: Copy your landing page’s URL and under “Forms,” redirect your unsubscribe success page to this new URL.

4. Build a journey: Create a “Journey” in MailChimp where any contact tagged with “resubscribe coupon” is emailed with their incentive.

Test the entire setup using a dummy unsubscribe-resubscribe instance and ensure that your customers receive the intended incentive email.

This simple strategy helps recover lost subscribers and strengthens customer connections by providing personalized and valuable content.
