So, the question you might have is why would you want to put a LinkedIn profile badge on your website? Well, it’s a great way to cross-promote your LinkedIn profile to people who visit your website.
It’s a great way to perhaps get people interested to see if you want to get on a project or a new job opportunity or to network with like-minded individuals. It’s a great way to say, “Hey, I’m on LinkedIn too. I’m just not on Twitter and Facebook. Go check me out on LinkedIn.” So, with that being said, I’m going to show you how you can do this yourself.
The first step is to go to your LinkedIn profile. Next thing you do is to click on Edit your Public Profile on the right-hand side. On the next page, scroll all the way down, click on Create Your Public Profile Badge. The profile badge builder page will open.
Step two – Choose a Badge.
Step three – add the code to your WordPress website
Log in to your WordPress website and click on Appearances, then click Widgets. Drag in a text element to your sidebar then copy the code and then I paste it in. Make sure you add the code to the text side of your Text widget. The next step is to add a Title – something like Connect with Me on LinkedIn. When all is looking good click Save.
Step four – review the widget
Open your website in a tab in your browser and take a look at the LinkedIn Profile Badge in your sidebar. The profile badge adds links to your profile, company, and where you went to school.
